The Family Mediation Training is a 30-Hour course that complies with the standards set by the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable and Chapter 154 of the Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code. It provides training for those who wish to mediate family disputes involving divorce, property settlements and/or child custody cases.
The course includes: dynamics and elements unique to family mediation, resources available to families in conflict, property settlement issues, court perspective on litigation, and domestic violence and abuse issues. Cost of materials is included in the course fees.
TCLOSE credit is available for law enforcement and approval for MCLE credits will be requested. LPC, LMFT and LMSW credits are available.
Class size is limited. Please, register at least 30 days before the start date of each class. Late registrations are accepted on a space available basis.
